Base pledge usually locks in stretch goals. Honestly with Kickstarters my strategy is to back at $1 or the absolute base level if I know I want the core game. If you didn't find your country/region on their shipping chart provided in the campaign, then you could reach out to CMON directly or through the KS campaign and ask them if they will be shipping to the Middle East and whether they have an estimate for it yet. That is a hard region to get KS shipped to, not to mention the cost of shipping. So if you don't have money burning a hole in your pocket, don't want to agonize for over a year to get the product, and have no need to collect absolutely everything, I would pass and wait for retail.ĮDIT: Also noticed you are in the Middle East. Going down the Kickstarter path is costly, feeds on your FOMO, and will make you wait at the altar forever to get the game. The final price for all in will likely be $600-$800 which will include a bunch of minis and expansions. There will be a lot of add-ons, pledge levels, extra unlocks, etc. If you have not been on Kickstarter before, I am not sure I would suggest starting with a massive campaign like Marvel Zombies. The base game and/or expansions should be more than enough without all the extras.
So the question you need to ask yourself is whether the extra fluff is worth all the money and waiting. And then shortly after, or sometimes at the same time, all the games have shipped to backers, you will be able to purchase it retail. Very first thing to realize if you want to get into Kickstarter is that you are going to pay money now and then not see the game for a year or more. Also if I wait for retail, then I will have one option to buy the game, it is and the shipping will be free, but I can't be sure that the price will stay the same.Īnybody has experience with Kickstarter ? or has any recommendation ? I thought I will pledge and see what I get. but now I am kind of intrigued because many games don't get retail release and when they do, there is content missing.
