Crippling with explosives are good, so it should be easy pickings. Usually, explosives kill everything for me, so unsure why explosives are ineffective for you. I use default PN settings, except some survival and xp changes for TTW.Īs for explosives, default PN only gives a 20% bonus dmg for 100 skills unlike NV 50% (I think). I don't use a melee build, but when I switch to my melee weapon (Combat Knife, usually), this decimates the last 2-3 combatants left. Open areas are a problem, basically stick to cover as usual and maybe forward charge attack from cover to those approaching if the coast is clear. You can abuse the AI and wait for them to approach a spot where you have the advantage, most likely a place where many combatants can't support the unforunate soul to shoot you point blank (a corner in basically all interior places is a good start). Of course the problem is getting to them. The cripple animation is long enough to kill them, especially the head cripple animation. You can cripple them super fast with melee weapons too.
